Axel Remde studied electrical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) and the Dresden University of Technology, focussing on precision engineering and biomedical engineering. After receiving the diploma, he worked as scientific associate at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), institute for process control, automation and robotics in a European research project. His PhD thesis deal with handling and assembly strategies for deformable objects with industrial robots. Subsequently, Axel Remde worked for a Swiss medical technology company, first in the technology development, afterwards as inhouse consultant for technical statistics and design of experiments, and as patent engineer. He is a professional representative before the European Patent Office since 2012 and joined RENTSCH PARTNER in May 2012. Axel Remde is vice president of the Professional Group Medical Devices at Swiss Engineering.
