Start of Unified Patent Court postponed by two months

Unified Patent Court (UPC) has adjusted its timeline for entry into force of the UPC Agreement. The additional time is needed to set up secure access to the new Case Management System (CMS) of the UPC.

Accordingly, the new court is expected to open its doors on June 1, 2023. The so-called sunrise period, an important transition period for the new system, is expected to begin on March 1, 2023.
